FAQ

What does Sustained Read/Write Speed mean?

The Sustained Speed is the defined stable and consistent speed (minimum speed) that a storage media meets throughout the entire capacity of the media when writing but also when reading your data during the post-production process.

We tend to emphasize the Sustained Speed read and write performances supported explicitly by the Angelbird Stable Stream™ technology that comes with all Angelbird storage media.

From our perspective, the true measure of a card’s performance lies in its ability to write or read data consistently. This is especially important when shooting videos. The Sustained Write Speed is crucial to meet the camera's or device's minimum performance requirements. Also, capturing detailed, high-definition frames requires a sustained write speed that does not throttle or drop off in performance as the card's capacity fills up.
