What does the data recovery process look like?

Recovery process

Our service begins when you contact our service team, who will guide you through the data recovery process.

  1. Remote assistance or product return: we'll first try to assist you remotely via phone or email. If we cannot troubleshoot remotely, you'll need to return the product to our data lab in Austria. It will then be forwarded to one of the technicians and engineers for diagnosis and data recovery.
  2. We'll keep you informed: we'll do our best to keep you informed throughout the process of extracting your data from your Angelbird gear.
  3. Replacing your product and uploading your data: if we've successfully recovered your data, we'll provide you with a replacement product and upload your restored data onto it.
  4. Keeping your data safe: we'll securely store your recovered data in our lab for another month (unless requested by you earlier) as a backup if anything happens during transportation.
  5. Permanent data deletion to protect your privacy: once you've received your stored data and one month passed, we'll go ahead and permanently delete all traces of your original data from our systems. This is to protect your privacy.
